Have you seen rail parallel tracks which do not intersect at any point? If you can imagine a thousand of such parallel rail tracks then this is how a PCB board looks like after being fabricated. In the fabrication process, path for the flow of current is determined, which is then followed by the placement of components in the assembling process. If any single connecting line intersects with the other, the circuit would not function properly, and there will be a menace of short circuiting and complete breakdown. For this reason, the fabrication method requires high precision and accuracy to make the circuit work as desired. At The PCB Company, a PCB spends the greatest amount of time in the fabrication unit, where we take care of its internal and external impedance, power dissipation reduction, and extensive care to each of the micro connecting pads. The fabrication and of the printed circuit board can be carried using the following procedures:

1.      Laser Printing

Laser printing method is still the most common and popular method for PCB fabrication. After testing the circuit on Eagle Cad, it has to be transferred to the raw board. This is done by the use of laser printing, in which the image of the circuit is printed exactly onto the raw board. For PCB fabrication in the UK, a number of laser printing devices are available that transfers the circuit onto the board. The manual drawing of the circuit board via a permanent marker or the use of electric iron have the drawbacks of solubility with the chemical, and occupying more space on the board. For this reason, complex circuits with thousands of connecting lines and tracks cannot be fabricated by the manual procedure.

2.      UV Exposure

A latest method that you can integrate in your PCB design process is of the UV exposure of the raw board, to print the circuit layout on it. In this process, especially designed equipment is used that channelizes the UV light onto the raw circuit board. The circuit diagram is placed between the UV light source and the board, which imprints the circuit design onto it. The advantage of using UV light process is that there is no need of PCB etching after this process as the extra copper is removed automatically from the surface of the board. For this reason, this process is more efficient and consumes lesser time in fabrication.

Prototype and Custom Manufactured PCBs

PCB Company also offers the service of PCB prototype, where we will deliver you with a uniformly copper coated board, and you can carry out the designing and etching process on your own. All types and sizes of prototype PCBs are available, from which you can choose the one that best meets your circuit size and complexity. We use the through hole assembly process for manufacturing PCB prototypes.

We promise the best PCB fabrication in the UK, as we are equipped with all modern technologies and equipments needed to carry out a precise and controlled fabrication process. If you are in a rush then let our professional engineers take care of your electronic project, and deliver you with nothing but the best!
